Foothills Academy is an independent, pre-kindergarten through 12th grade day school located in Wheat Ridge, CO. Accredited by the Association of Colorado Independent Schools, Foothills Academy was founded in 1984 by area parents and teachers committed to the unique vision of this school.

School Announcements Heads up, Helmets On!   This Saturday, Sept 11th, Foothills Academy joins with Compass Montessori to sponsor a Bike Rodeo!  All ages welcome!  Come join the fun at the Compass Montessori campus ( south of Foothills on Miller) from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Hosted by Compass Montessori Parent Association, Wheat Ridge Police, Arvada Fire Department, Live Well Wheat Ridge, and Colorado Department of Transportation.   Next week on Thursday, we will once again join Compass Montessori with a "Bike to School" day.  Be ready to hit the pedals running at 7:15am at the Wheat Ridge Rec Center and follow the bike path to 44th and miller, cross at the new pedestrian crosswalk and continue to on to Foothills Academy.  Parents should plan on walking/riding with their students along the path for supervision. SAY CHEESE On Friday, September 24th at 9:00 am Cynthia Snyder from MMPS will be on campus taking individual school photos. Every student will be photographed on Picture Day for school ID'S, but only those providing payment on or before Picture day will receive a package.  Please note that an envelope is mandatory for every student. If you do not want to order a photo package please select NO PACKAGE, and return the envelope to the classroom teacher. Picture packages will be mailed to your house within four weeks. On Stage Players Registration is now open for On Stage Players "100 Years of Broadway". A high-energy musical review featuring YOUR child! Song and dance come together in this 1.5  hour medley featuring some of the most memorable songs from Broadway history, with music from dozens of shows including: Hello Dolly, South Pacific, Oklahoma, Annie, Big River, and Chorus Line! Class will take place at Foothills Academy on Mon-Wed from 3:15-5:30. Please go to onstageplayers.com to register, and receive more information. BIG MAMA'S BURRITOS Once again this year Big Mama's will be here on Wednesday mornings selling breakfast burritos. They are $3.00 each and there is an assortment of potato & egg, ( or potato & egg plus one of the following) sausage, bacon, chorizo, or ham, and usually mild or spicy. If you haven't yet had a chance to try one of these yummy burritos don't forget Wed. morning in the circle drive they'll be calling you!!
